We have been made aware of a scam that involves individuals fraudulently representing themselves as employees of Barrenjoey to pitch fake investment services to members of the public. Barrenjoey does not offer any investment services to the public and anyone who is approached by any individual purporting to be from Barrenjoey should report the matter to ASIC or their local police as soon as possible. We are pleased to announce we have partnered with Professional Cadetships Australia (PCA) to launch a cadet program for young students seeking work experience opportunities.
Barrenjoey’s Head of Equities Chris Williams says: “The new initiative provides young students with an opportunity to work at Barrenjoey, gain paid work experience and develop valuable skills while they study at university. The program is intended to accelerate success with their university studies, professional development and career path.”
Run by PCA, the program is open to current Year 12 students planning to go to university in 2022. Applications are made via the PCA website.
For our February 2022 intake, we will be offering five opportunities at Barrenjoey: one in Fixed Income; two in Equities; and two in Research.
Williams added: “We look forward to welcoming the inaugural cohort of Barrenjoey cadets in February 2022.”
