We have been made aware of a scam that involves individuals fraudulently representing themselves as employees of Barrenjoey to pitch fake investment services to members of the public. Barrenjoey does not offer any investment services to the public and anyone who is approached by any individual purporting to be from Barrenjoey should report the matter to ASIC or their local police as soon as possible. Philip Lowe appointed to Barrenjoey Board

The Independent Chairman of Barrenjoey Capital Partners David Gonski AC today announced that Dr Philip Lowe will join the Barrenjoey Board effective immediately.

 

As the third independent non-executive Director on the Barrenjoey board, Dr Lowe joins former Federal Cabinet Minister Kelly O’Dwyer and Mr Gonski, alongside representatives of Barrenjoey’s shareholders and management.

Dr Lowe was the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia from 2016 to 2023. During his time at the Reserve Bank, Dr Lowe held a range of significant roles in addition to having worked at the Bank of International Settlements and being Assistant Governor (Financial System) during the Global Financial Crisis.


Mr Gonski said that Dr Lowe is an outstanding member of the Australian business community and will bring deep experience in financial markets to the Barrenjoey Board.
