We have been made aware of a scam that involves individuals fraudulently representing themselves as employees of Barrenjoey to pitch fake investment services to members of the public. Barrenjoey does not offer any investment services to the public and anyone who is approached by any individual purporting to be from Barrenjoey should report the matter to ASIC or their local police as soon as possible. Mark Bellofiore

Equity Capital Markets

What’s your role at Barrenjoey?

I’m a member of our Equity Capital Markets team that sits within Corporate Finance. We help companies raise equity both on the ASX and privately.

What did you do prior to joining Barrenjoey?

I started my investment banking career at Goldman Sachs where I spent 10 years working between Melbourne, Sydney and New York – the majority of that time within equity capital markets. I most recently spent 2 years at J.P. Morgan in the same role and prior to investment banking I was a chartered accountant at PwC.

What do you do when you're not at work?

Right now most of my time is spent with family where I have three young children all under five to keep me on my toes! Outside of that I love to play golf (relatively poorly) and keep fit by running. Every couple of years I’ll sign up to a marathon or half marathon so as to have something to train for and keep motivated.
