We have been made aware of a scam that involves individuals fraudulently representing themselves as employees of Barrenjoey to pitch fake investment services to members of the public. Barrenjoey does not offer any investment services to the public and anyone who is approached by any individual purporting to be from Barrenjoey should report the matter to ASIC or their local police as soon as possible. Gavin Buchanan

Group CFO and Group Treasurer

Gavin has over 25 years of broad investment banking, wealth management, treasury and finance experience gained in large global investment banks and prudentially regulated institutions.
Before joining Barrenjoey, Gavin was Deputy CFO and Group Treasurer at Challenger where he spent almost 14 years. Previously, he worked in various senior roles at Barclays, Wizard Home Loans, Citi, UBS and Clayton Utz. Gavin has a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from UNSW.
