We have been made aware of a scam that involves individuals fraudulently representing themselves as employees of Barrenjoey to pitch fake investment services to members of the public. Barrenjoey does not offer any investment services to the public and anyone who is approached by any individual purporting to be from Barrenjoey should report the matter to ASIC or their local police as soon as possible. Andrew Formica

Non-Executive Director, Executive Chairman of Magellan Financial Services

Andrew is Executive Chairman of Magellan Financial Group Ltd (“MFG”) and a director of Magellan Asset Management Limited (MFG’s main operating subsidiary).
Andrew has 30 years’ experience in leading and growing investment businesses within the funds management industry globally, 14 years of which were as CEO. Most recently, Andrew was CEO and Director of Jupiter Asset Management plc. Andrew has also been Co-CEO of Janus Henderson Group plc. and CEO and a Board member of Henderson Group plc. Andrew has held various other senior roles including Joint MD of Henderson’s Listed Assets business and Head of Equities.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK and Australia) and was previously Deputy Chair of the Investment Association and Board member of Hammerson Group plc.
Andrew holds a Master of Economics (Macquarie University) and an MBA (London Business School).
