The Independent Chairman of Barrenjoey Capital Partners David Gonski AC today announced that Ms Fiona Hick will join the Barrenjoey Board effective immediately.

As Barrenjoey’s fourth non-executive Director, Perth-based Ms Hick joins former Reserve Bank Governor Dr Philip Lowe, former Federal Cabinet Minister Kelly O’Dwyer and Mr Gonski, alongside representatives of Barrenjoey’s shareholders and management.

Ms Hick is a non-executive Director of Infrastructure WA, Dyno Nobel and Evolution Mining, and has held senior executive roles across the mining and energy sector including at Fortescue Metals Group, Woodside Energy and Rio Tinto.

Mr Gonski said that as a proven senior leader in the mining and energy sector, Ms Hick’s appointment will strengthen Barrenjoey’s engagement with the resources sector.
